The double degree with the Corvinus University of Budapest was specially designed for Católica Porto Business School students enrolled in the Master in Management. It aims to complement their studies with an international experience in a globally recognized European management school.

In fact, as with all double degrees at Católica Porto Business School, the programme with  Corvinus allows students to obtain 2 Master's Degrees in 2 years: one from Católica Porto Business School and another from the partner university.

Entrance into this double degree allows the Master in Management student at Católica Porto Business School to choose one of the following Master's programmes at Corvinus University of Budapest: MSc in Business Informatics or MSc in Marketing.

To benefit from the double degree programme and obtain both Masters, students will need to follow a predefined path at CPBS.

Operation

First-year: Students must attend courses and complete a certain number of ECTS (60) of the Master in Management – Generic Area at Católica Porto Business School during the first year. In their second semester of the first year, students have to choose the electives according to the path they want to follow (to know the electives, consult the programme outline).

The courses can be taught in Portuguese or English, but the school highly recommends choosing the English ones.

Second-year: Students will attend the curricular part of the chosen Master's at the Corvinus University of Budapest (but will be exempt from some subjects given the equivalence with some courses taken in Portugal) and, simultaneously, will be completing their dissertation at Católica Porto Business School. The dissertation will be evaluated by the Católica Porto Business School and by the Corvinus University of Budapest, following its own rules: the final score of the Corvinus University of Budapest will be based exclusively on the dissertation, while the final score at the Católica Porto Business School depends jointly on the dissertation and the respective public defense.

At Católica Porto Business School

• Acceptance and enrolment fee. The fee will not be refunded in case students cancel their enrolment.
• 1st year at CPBS fees: Students will have to pay the fees related to the 60 ECTS of the curricular part (10 instalments)
• 2nd-year fee: Students will be doing the dissertation at CPBS while at Corvinus University of Budapest, so they will have to pay the fees related to the dissertation at CPBS (5 instalments)

At Corvinus University of Budapest

At the Corvinus University of Budapest students will not pay tuition fees. However, the student should ensure any expenses related to the cost of living in Budapest (travel, accommodation, insurance, any other fees unrelated to the tuition, etc.).

For Corvinus University of Budapest’s Students

At Católica Porto Business School

At Católica Porto Business School, Corvinus’ students will not pay tuition fees. However, the student should ensure any expenses related to the cost of living in Porto (travel, accommodation, insurance, meals, etc.) and any other fees not related to the tuition.

Scholarships

For the academic year 2022/23, students undertaking a Double Degree programme do not pay the 10th instalment fee of the 1st year at CPBS.
