Three students from the Undergraduate Programme in Economics at Católica Porto Business School have been selected to represent the School in the national round of the II University Economics Olympiad, to be held in Coimbra on 10 and 11 April.

The school round took place on 18 February, bringing together 17 students in an academic competition setting. At the end, Tomás Câmara (1st place), Alexandre Ferreira (2nd place) and Jessica Lin (3rd place) were selected.

Organised by the Portuguese Economists’ Association and Associação Une Dois Mundos, the University Economics Olympiad is a national academic competition aimed at undergraduate students in Economics and Management. Its goal is to foster critical thinking, deepen interest in economics and promote knowledge sharing among students from different higher education institutions.

Católica Porto Business School has consistently stood out in this initiative. In 2025, Gonçalo Sousa, an Economics student, achieved 2nd place nationally in the first edition of the Olympiad.
