As part of its close links with the business and technology ecosystem, Católica Porto Business School organised a study visit to CEiiA, in Matosinhos, involving students from the Master’s in Management – specialisation in International Management.

The initiative took place within the International Consulting course, delivered in a project-based learning format, and marked the launch of the semester-long challenge: the development of an internationalisation plan for the ET15 and CASTA drones, two models created by CEiiA’s Advanced Air Mobility Business Unit and manufactured by Eliot.

During the opening session, students from 10 countries were introduced to the technological and strategic framework of the project through contributions from Frederico Aguiar-Branco, Programme Manager at CEiiA; Caetana Aguiar, a student from the specialisation’s first edition and now a Market and Strategy Analyst at the centre; and José Pedro Baptista, R&D Engineer at CEiiA’s Advanced Air Mobility Business Unit and at Eliot.

According to Susana Costa e Silva, Director of the Master’s in Management, the experience reflects the School’s value proposition: “This project challenges our students to approach internationalisation within a highly technological and regulated sector such as advanced air mobility. Working with CEiiA and Eliot allows them to apply strategic tools to a real-world context with logistical and humanitarian impact, strengthening the link between the classroom and the global market.”

Frederico Aguiar-Branco also highlighted the relevance of the collaboration: “For CEiiA, it is essential to involve young talent in our strategic projects. The internationalisation of the ET15 and CASTA drones requires global vision and critical thinking, and this collaboration with Católica Porto Business School brings precisely that diversity of perspectives.”

The initiative reinforces Católica Porto Business School’s commitment to internationally oriented, practice-driven education, providing students with hands-on strategic consulting experience and direct engagement with organisations leading technological innovation in Portugal.
