"The primary aim of this research is to examine the extent to which financial markets price climate-related risks, focusing on both transition and physical climate risks. We investigate whether U.S. firms' proactive responses to climate challenges are adequately reflected in market valuations. The findings highlight the importance of incorporating state-level climate risks into portfolio strategy and risk management frameworks to avoid suboptimal asset allocation."
Fourth-year PhD student and Research Assistant in Economics at Lancaster University, UK. Her research examines how climate-related risks are priced in financial markets, focusing on the interaction between transition and physical climate risks and their implications for portfolio returns and financial stability. Alongside her research, Francisca teaches across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
